Tamborine Mountain is an elevated plateau of land five hundred and fifty metres above sea level behind the Gold Coast and an hour from Brisbane. This mountain originated as a flow from the Mt. Warning volcano, some twenty-two million years ago.
Tamborine is a unique sanctuary of flora and fauna.
Queesland’s first national park was declared on Mt. Tamborine 1908.
Grail Haven is located on the very summit of Tamborine Mountain. It has a history of no industry and minimal agriculture, thereby never having suffered from the dangers of toxic and harmful run-off.
